Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about InfiCare Pure-Touch disposable face towels — materials, skin safety, biodegradability, shipping, returns and real customer experiences.
What are InfiCare disposable face towels made of?
InfiCare Pure-Touch disposable face towels are made of an 80% Lyocell + 20% pure cotton spunlace nonwoven blend, weighing 80 gsm. Lyocell is a third-generation regenerated cellulose fiber produced in a closed-loop NMMO process with no chemical residue, sourced exclusively from Sateri — a world leader in sustainable fiber production. Fibre composition independently verified by SGS testing to international standards. See our full Lyocell vs viscose vs cotton comparison →
How is InfiCare different from Clean Skin Club?
Clean Skin Club's own product page states their towels are made of 100% eucalyptus or bamboo viscose — a first-generation regenerated cellulose fiber produced with carbon disulfide. InfiCare uses third-generation Lyocell, produced in a cleaner closed-loop NMMO process with no chemical residue. Additionally, InfiCare's Lyocell content gives it Beyond-Disposable durability — InfiCare towels can survive a washing machine and dryer cycle intact, enabling guilt-free reuse for non-skincare household tasks. Are InfiCare face towels safe for sensitive skin, eczema, or baby skin?
Yes. InfiCare is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I certified, which is the strictest tier — required for products in direct contact with babies' skin. The towels contain no fragrances, no optical brighteners, and no fluorescent agents. Manufactured in a cleanroom with automated zero-contact production. Lyocell's microscopically round fiber surface and absence of chemical residue make it suitable for eczema-prone, acne-prone, and reactive skin.
Are InfiCare face towels biodegradable?
Yes. The 80% Lyocell content is certified biodegradable by TÜV Austria in soil, freshwater, marine environments, and compostable in home and industrial settings. Independent research by the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego confirmed Lyocell fully biodegrades within 30 days in marine conditions, compared to over 200 days of no degradation for polyester.
Can InfiCare disposable face towels really be machine-washed and reused?
Yes. Lyocell's nano-fibril fiber structure gives InfiCare exceptional wet strength (Lyocell retains approximately 85% of its dry tenacity when wet, versus viscose losing up to 50%). Customers have documented machine-washing and machine-drying InfiCare towels and reusing them for kitchen cleanup, dusting, and household tasks. InfiCare's positioning is 'single-use by design, second-life by choice' — single-use is recommended for facial skincare hygiene, while the Lyocell durability allows guilt-free reuse for non-skincare household tasks.
Where is InfiCare made?
InfiCare is a Canadian-owned brand based in Scarborough, Greater Toronto Area, Ontario. The Lyocell fiber is sourced exclusively from Sateri, a world leader in sustainable fiber production. Manufacturing is done in a strictly controlled cleanroom using automated zero-contact production — the first human hands to touch each towel are the customer's.
How much do InfiCare face towels cost?
InfiCare Pure-Touch is available in two sizes: 50-count box at CAD $20.95 (approximately $0.42 per towel) and 100-count box at CAD $34.95 (approximately $0.35 per towel, best per-towel value). Free shipping in Canada on orders over CAD $25.
What is the difference between the 50-count and 100-count boxes?
The 50-count and 100-count boxes contain the same XL InfiCare Pure-Touch towel (10" x 12" / 25 x 30 cm, 80 GSM) — only the quantity differs. The 100-count box is CAD $34.95 (about $0.35 per towel) and the 50-count box is CAD $20.95 (about $0.42 per towel), so the 100-count is the best per-towel value.
Should I get the 50-count or 100-count?
Choose the 100-count if you use a face towel every day — it is the best per-towel value at about $0.35 per towel. Choose the 50-count if you are new to InfiCare, or want a smaller box for a second bathroom, gym bag, or travel.
Where do orders ship from, and how long does shipping take?
Orders ship from Scarborough, Toronto, Ontario, and are processed in 1–2 business days, with delivery across Canada in 3–5 business days. Shipping is a flat CAD $5 on orders under CAD $25 and free on orders of CAD $25 or more.
What is your return policy?
InfiCare offers a 30-day satisfaction guarantee from delivery on unused products in their original sealed packaging. To start a return, email hello@inficare.ca with the subject "Return Request"; defective or damaged items receive a full refund or a free replacement, and refunds are processed within 5–7 business days.
Can I flush InfiCare face towels down the toilet?
No — InfiCare face towels should never be flushed. Dispose of used towels in household compost or garbage instead: the Lyocell content is certified biodegradable by TÜV Austria in soil, freshwater, and marine environments and is compostable at home, so the towel breaks down naturally instead of clogging plumbing or septic systems.
Can I use InfiCare towels with cleanser, micellar water, or makeup remover?
Yes — InfiCare towels work dry or wet with your existing routine. Use one dry with micellar water or a cleansing oil to lift makeup, or dampen it with water and your regular cleanser for a gentle wash; each XL towel (10" x 12") is large enough to cover your full face routine, and the lint-free surface leaves nothing behind on your skin.
Where can I buy InfiCare face towels in Canada?
You can buy InfiCare Pure-Touch face towels in Canada at inficare.ca — shipping is free on orders over CAD $25 and orders ship from Scarborough, Ontario — and on Amazon.ca. InfiCare is Canadian-owned, so orders from inficare.ca are priced in Canadian dollars and ship within Canada.
Is Lyocell the same as TENCEL™?
Lyocell is the generic name for the fiber and its closed-loop production process, while TENCEL™ is the Lenzing company's brand name for its own lyocell fibers. InfiCare's lyocell fiber is sourced from Sateri, a world leader in sustainable fiber production, and blended with 20% pure cotton.
How much do I save with Subscribe & Save?
Subscribe & Save takes 15% off the one-time price on every recurring order — CAD $17.81 for the 50-count box or CAD $29.71 for the 100-count box. Choose delivery every 1, 2, or 3 months, and skip, pause, or cancel anytime.
What do customers notice after switching from a regular towel?
We hear it most often from customers with acne-prone or sensitive skin. In their own words:
“I've had fewer breakouts since I switched.”
— Shanna
“My acne has also improved from using these as compared to my face towels that were reusable despite being marketed as being bacteria resistant. I changed nothing else but using these and there were noticeable improvements.”
— Mastodons
Why the pattern? A fresh towel every time means a clean surface on your skin, while a reused bath towel stays damp in the bathroom and can harbour bacteria between washes — Gerba et al. (2014, Food Protection Trends 34(5): 312–317) found coliform bacteria on 89.0% of household towels sampled and E. coli on 25.6%.
